Join us on March 5th at Rancho Mirage High School in Rancho Mirage for our first Women's Fitness Challenge of the year. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome!

Women's Fitness Challenge events give women who are interested in a law enforcement career an opportunity to meet women who have already joined the Sheriff's Department and achieved successful careers and distinction in their fields.

Part of the challenge is to get tested for fitness and agility. Women who successfully complete the physical fitness assessment may apply for a Deputy Sheriff or Correctional Deputy job with the Sheriff's Department. The fitness assessment tests are:
- A 1.5 mile run
You will have one minute each to correctly perform 27 sit-ups and 22 push-ups. The 1.5 mile run must be completed in 14 minutes or less. Stopping or walking will result in disqualification.

All participants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Bring valid photo I.D.
- Wear appropriate fitness attire
No children or spectators during testing!
Check-in and onsite registration opens at 7:00 AM and testing begins promptly at 8:00 AM.
