Details:

On December 28, 2019, at 11:50 PM, Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the city of La Quinta responded to a reported shooting in the area of Fred Waring Drive, west of Dune Palms Road. Deputies arrived on scene and located multiple shell casings in the roadway. The victim, a 21-year-old Hispanic female of Indio, was located nearby suffering from non-life-threatening injuries received during the assault. As a result, the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Deputies conducted a search of the surrounding area and no additional victims were located.
