On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 1:31am, Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision involving a sedan and a semi-truck at the intersection of Dillon Road and the off ramp of the I-10 freeway, in the city of Coachella. It was determined that Isaias De La Rosa, 18 years of Coachella, was driving a sedan eastbound on Dillon Road when he collided into a semi-truck. De La Rosa suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Deputies believed alcohol/drug intoxication may have been a factor in the collision.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information regarding this incident requested to contact Deputy F. Lopez at the Thermal Sheriff’s Station by calling 760-863-8990.
