Details:

On July 3, 2019, at 11:01 p.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision that occurred at Cesar Chavez Street and Avenue 50 in the city of Coachella. It was determined Pedro Sustaita, 23 of Indio, was driving northbound on Cesar Chavez when he struck a vehicle, which caused his vehicle to spin out of control. Sustaita sustained major injuries during the collision. Deputies believed alcohol/drug intoxication may have been a factor in the collision.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information regarding this incident requested to contact Deputy McCoy at the Thermal Sheriff’s Station by calling 760-863-8990.
