Luis Meza

On Tuesday, April 02, 2019, at 1809 hours, Officers from the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) were searching for Luis Meza, 23 of Indio, who was wanted in connection of several thefts, burglaries and stolen vehicles.  The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team located a white Ford F-150 that had been cold plated and reported stolen from the city of Palm Desert. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Luis Meza.   Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at Jefferson St. and Miles Ave., when the driver tried to evade them.   The driver eventually stopped on Polk Street near Ave. 64, where he fled on foot.  CHP Helicopter and Palm Desert canine responded to the area to assist with the search for the driver.  Luis Meza was taken into custody without further incident.  Luis Meza was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
