On December 8, 2018, at 1:31 a.m., La Quinta Police Officers responded a report of a traffic collision on Avenue 52 near Washington Street in La Quinta. Investigation revealed Mario Munoz, 39 of Coachella, was driving in the area when he collided with a curb. Munoz was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and transported to a local hospital as a precaution, prior to being booked into the Indio Jail.

The La Quinta Police Department would like to remind everyone not to drink and drive.  We are asking anyone with additional information of this incident to contact Officer Klicka at the Thermal Sheriff’s Station by calling 760-863-8990.
