On Monday, January 22, 2018, at 9:05 a.m., officers from the La Quinta Police Department responded to a sexual battery that occurred on the Bear Creek Trail, north of Avenida Ramirez, La Quinta.

Officers contacted the victim, who stated she was walking along the Bear Creek Trail, when a Hispanic male grabbed her, in a sexual manner, and then ran west on the trail. The victim chased the suspect, but lost sight of him near the north end of Avenida Carranza.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 20-25 years old, about 5’10” tall, with a slim build, short dark hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, black under shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
