On Sunday, December 17, 2017, at approximately 5:45 PM, officers from the La Quinta Police Department responded to the Burgers and Beer Restaurant in La Quinta, located at 79-815 Highway 111, reference a man brandishing a firearm inside the restaurant. Officers arrived quickly and took 22-year-old Indio resident Enrique Chavez into custody. Chavez was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and different types of narcotics. Chavez was booked into the Riverside County Jail in the city of Indio for being a felon in possession of a firearm, brandishing a firearm, possession of narcotics and violation of parole.
