On May 17, 2019 at approximately 4:22 a.m. the Temecula Police Department responded to the area of Rancho California Road and Ynez Road regarding a victim who had been sexually assaulted, moments prior, at a nearby townhome located on the 44000 block of Bellflower Lane in Temecula. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as 36-year-old Mark Richard Neeley II, a resident of Temecula. A search warrant was served by investigators at Neeley’s residence and evidence linking Neeley to the incident was located. Investigators have identified additional victims with similar accusations against Neeley. Investigators are conducting further investigation into those other incidents.
Neeley was arrested during the service of the search warrant at his residence. He was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on charges involving sex acts and his bail was set at $1,000,000. Based on the circumstances of the investigation, it appears there could be other victims who have not come forward at this time.
