||Illegal Marijuana Cultivation Operation and Stolen Vehicle Chop Shop

On June 20th, 2019, the Southwest Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team ended a week long investigation regarding the suspected illegal cultivation of marijuana in the unincorporated area of French Valley. Based on evidence collected during the investigation, the Special Enforcement Team obtained and served a search warrant at a rural property in the 32300 block of Yates Road.
Upon serving the search warrant, the deputies located three (3) large green houses, which had been erected on the property for the sole purpose of operating an illegal marijuana grow. In addition, two (2) stolen vehicles were located in the garage and on the property. Both vehicles were in different stages of being stripped.
Six people were contacted at the location with four of those individuals being arrested for an assortment of criminal offenses.

In total, the deputies seized more than 3,300 lbs. or marijuana plants from the property.
