In an ongoing effort to curtail drunk driving in the communities of Mecca, Oasis, Thermal, and Vista Santa Rosa, deputies assigned to the Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team conducted a DUI warrant sweep throughout the district. A total of 22 warrants were attempted and 5 subjects were arrested and booked into the Indio Jail:
1. Eric Perez, 29 years old from Mecca (C100290014).
2. Ricardo Sanchez Maduena, 28 years old from Mecca (C100290015).
3. Carmen Ruiz, 44 years-old from Mecca (C100290017).
4. Gonzalo Martinez, 34 years old from Oasis (C100290022).
5. Raymond Yasmin Cabrera, 21 years old from Oasis (C100290026).
Our objective is to send a clear message to those who are considering driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol and/or drugs – Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest. The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.
