On 1/10/10, R.O.V.E. deputies deployed in the unincorporated areas of Corona nearest the Temescal Wash and Dawson Canyon. The primary goal was to reduce illegal off-roading, excessive noise activity, and increase off-highway vehicle (O.H.V.) safety and education through citizen contacts, warnings, and citations.
R.O.V.E. deputies saturated the areas and contacted several off-road enthusiasts. Deputies contacted/educated twenty subjects and cited two offenders for the applicable off-highway vehicle enforcement section.
The full-time Riverside County Off-Highway Vehicle Enforcement Team (R.O.V.E.) is committed to ensuring public safety, education and quality of life throughout the county. To this end, R.O.V.E. will continue these types of operations throughout the year within the indicated areas and at various other locations within Riverside County.
