Michelle Tafoya

In November 2019, the Perris Special Enforcement Team began a fraud investigation which was prompted by a separate criminal investigation. On December 12, 2019, deputies from the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team and Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence located on the 1100 block of Bluestem Trail in the city of Perris.

Items recovered from the residence revealed 40-year-old Perris resident Michelle Tafoya, provided false statements and fraudulent documents to the Riverside County Housing Authority to receive financial benefits.  These statements resulted in an overpayment of $10,000.00 from Section 8 Housing.  Michelle Tafoya was subsequently arrested for the following charges:

  • 118 PC (Perjury)
