On Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 9:02 p.m., Perris Station deputies responded to the 27000 block of Boston Drive in the city of Menifee regarding a report of a shooting. Deputies arrived within minutes and located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released for his injury.

The Perris Station Investigations Bureau assumed the investigation. Antonio Corleon Jimenez, a 21 year-old Long Beach resident, was identified as the shooter and later taken into custody with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service. He was arrested for attempted homicide and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
