On November 30, 2019, at 7:45 pm, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of McCall Blvd x I215 overpass, City of Menifee, to investigate a two-vehicle traffic collision. Upon arrival, the investigating deputies discovered a white Honda collided into the rear of a Beige Toyota. The two cars partially blocked the intersection. The driver of the beige Toyota received a minor injury during the collision.
The driver of the white Honda, Melanie April Jones, of Murrieta, displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. She was booked at the Cois Bird Detention Center. Deputies will file charges related to the DUI.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision and has not been interviewed is encouraged to call Deputy DeLuna at the Perris Sheriff’s Station, (951) 210-1000.
