Fatal Traffic Collision, Vehicle vs. Motorcycle

Perris, CA - Officers from the Perris Police Department responded to a traffic collision on Rider Street and Wilson Avenue, in the city of Perris. The preliminary investigation showed a motorcyclist, a 22-year-old resident of San Jacinto, was traveling eastbound on Rider Street approaching Wilson Avenue. The motorist, a 21-year-old resident of San Jacinto, was travelling westbound Rider Street and turned southbound onto Wilson Avenue. The motorcyclist and motorist collided in the intersection. The motorcyclist sustained major injuries, was transported to a local hospital, and died from his injuries. The motorist did not sustain any injuries and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.   

The Perris Traffic Reconstruction Team assisted in the investigation. The intersection was closed temporarily during this investigation.
