Update:

Mr. Williams was located safe at a local area hospital and has been admitted for observation prior to being reported missing.  He has been reunited with his family. 

Details:

The Perris Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating 79 year old James Williams of Perris.  On January 22, 2018, at 1:15 PM, officers assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of 2500 Block of Buchanan Court, Perris regarding a missing person.  Officers arrived and spoke with James’ daughter who stated he left the residence and she did not know where he went.  James Williams is 79 years old, and suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease. James has done this in the past and has been found at local businesses, and/or walking around the neighborhood.  James is considered at risk because of his diminished capacity.

James Williams is described as a black male adult, 5’-07”, 150 pounds He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black pants, bright colored shoes and a bright orange jacket.

Perris Police Department Officers have been canvassing the general area trying to locate James.  His description was provided to all surrounding law enforcement agencies, including hospitals.  The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call sheriff’s dispatch at (951) 776-1099 or contact Officer Green at (951) 210-1000.
