On Sunday, 01/14/18, at 06:18 PM, Officers from the Perris Police Department responded to a report of a head-on traffic collision on Goetz Rd. in the city of Perris. A blue Lincoln sedan collided head on into a tan Toyota Corolla. Prior to the collision, Perris Officers were directed to the area by a concerned citizen that reported the Lincoln was driving erratic. The driver of the Lincoln, 58-year-old Menifee resident Turbie Williams, is suspected of driving while under the influence. Williams and the driver of the Toyota sustained major, but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital.
Goetz Rd. was closed for two hours. Williams was released to the care of the local hospital. Felony DUI charges will be sought against Williams with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
