Menifee, CA - Officers from the Menifee Police Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Simpson Road and Lindenberger Road, in the city of Menifee. A Ford Expedition collided with a Chrysler Sebring at the location and both vehicles moved off to the side of the road. The driver of the Ford, 24 - year-old Perris resident, Juan Olvera-Ortega, walked away from the collision and was stopped by officers and arrested. Olvera-Ortega was suspected of driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs. Olvera-Ortega was also found to be unlicensed and in possession of narcotics. Olvera-Ortega was transported to a local hospital where he was medically cleared before being booked for DUI, Hit-and-Run, and possession of narcotics at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Facility in Murrieta, CA. No road closures resulted from this traffic collision.
