Jarmal Allen Rollins

On Monday, December 11, 2017, at 4:20 PM, the Menifee Police Department received a 911 call for assistance after a 17-year old juvenile was robbed of his bicycle near the intersection of Antelope Road and Newport Road, Menifee.  When police officers met with the juvenile, he was visibly shaken, but unharmed.

The investigation revealed the juvenile was stopped at the intersection of Newport and Antelope, waiting for a green light.  As he waited, the passenger of a passing vehicle leaped from the car, threatened to shoot him and took the bicycle.  The investigating officer recognized the emotional trauma the suspect had inflicted upon the juvenile and took it upon himself to purchase a replacement bike for him.  The case was immediately forwarded to the Menifee Police Burglary Suppression Team (BST).

On December 13, 2017, BST officers contacted 19-year old Jarmal Allen Rollins at his residence, which was situated in the 29000 block of Camino Cristal, Menifee.  BST recovered the victim’s stolen bike inside Rollins’ garage.  Rollins was arrested and booked for strong-arm robbery.  Bail was set at $30,000.00.  The stolen bike was returned to the victim and his family later that day.

Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact Deputy Dan Brown at the Perris Police Department by calling (951) 210-1000, or by email at PerrisStation@RiversideSheriff.org.
