Bacilio Jose Petrocelli

On December 2, 2017, deputies responded to the 22700 block of Lukens Lane in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Mead Valley, reference a subject in a house acting erratic and fired off a gun.  When deputies arrived, they contacted the victims who said a subject entered their residence without permission and after a brief argument, fired a gun into the ceiling.  The victims fled the house and called the Sheriff’s Department.  Based on the nature of the call, and the suspect still barricaded inside the residence, Sheriff’s Department SWAT was activated and responded to the location.  After a few hours, SWAT was able to peacefully resolve the situation and take the suspect into custody.  The suspect was identified as Bacilio Jose Petrocelli of Perris.  No one was injured at any time during this incident.  Petrocelli was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for burglary, felon in possession of a firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm and ammo, and violation of probation.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call Investigator Wortman at (951) 210-1000.
