On 01/10/2010, about 2:45 a.m., officers from the Menifee Police Department responded to the 25500 block of Trumble Road, regarding a report of a home invasion - robbery. Officers arrived within minutes and contacted the victims at the location.
Officers learned four armed suspects had forced their way into the home, assaulted the victims, and taken property. The victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Detectives responded and assumed the investigation. Several leads were developed and three of the suspects were identified. On 01/10/2010, at about 3:30 p.m., Justin Simons (22 years old) was arrested outside his home on Monolith Trail in Perris. On 01/11/2010, at about 10:00 a.m., Tayshawn Ellis (22 years old) and Keyon Ellis (21 years old), who were also identified as suspects, were arrested by detectives at Avocado Avenue and N. Perris Boulevard. in Perris without incident. Tayshawn and Keyon are brothers and live on Monolith Trail in Perris. All three were booked into jail.
