Update 08-30-2019:

On Friday, August 30, 2019, investigators from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station concluded an investigation of a recent bank robbery. The robbery suspect was described by witnesses and a composite sketch was disseminated to the public via a press release. The suspect has been identified as Curtis Dixon, a 39-year-old resident of Indio.

Mr. Dixon was identified as a suspect in a recent series of robberies within the Coachella Valley. He is currently in custody at the Indio Jail. The investigation is ongoing and we are continuing to seek the public’s help with details and information about the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Investigator Cecilia Ellis at 760-836-1600.

Suspect Sketch

On Friday, August 10, 2019, at about 4:15 PM, deputies of the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a reported bank robbery on the 72-800 block of Ramon Rd., Thousand Palms, where an undisclosed amount of money was taken.

The suspect is described as a black male adult, about 28 years old, 5’4” tall, 170 pounds and wearing a burgundy cap and a blue multi-colored long sleeved shirt and dark pants.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Inv. Cecilia Ellis at the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station at (760) 836-1600.
