On May 15, 2019, at 1:12 am, Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to a reported traffic collision at 43615 Elkhorn Trail, Palm Desert. Officers determined a Kia sedan traveling northbound on Elkhorn Trail collided with a parked vehicle at the location. The driver of the Kia, Arias Baltazar, age 30 of Desert Hot Springs, was found to have been operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. After being medically cleared at a local hospital, Arias Baltazar was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for driving under the influence of alcohol.
