On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at approximately 11:26 AM, officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision in the 40-000 block of Cook St., Palm Desert.  It was determined the driver of one of the vehicles, Curt Johnson, 64 years of Mountain Center, was travelling northbound on Cook St. and collided with another vehicle.  Johnson did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision, however the driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was later released.  During the investigation, it was determined that Johnson showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.  Johnson was arrested for driving under the influence and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.  Once treated, he was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
