Details:

On Monday, March 25, 2019 at approximately 10:52 AM, traffic officers from the Indian Wells Police Department responded to the area of Hwy 111 and Province Way in reference to a reported traffic collision involving a bicyclist and vehicle.  Preliminary investigation revealed the bicyclist was traveling w/b on Hwy 111 when it collided into the rear of a stopped Dodge minivan.  The male bicyclist suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.  The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with traffic officers.  Alcohol was not a factor in this collision. The investigation to determine the cause of the collision is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has further information is asked to call Officer Conoway from the Indian Wells Police Department’s Traffic Team at (760) 836-1600.
