Penny Lynn Zavitka

On Friday, November 23, 2018, at approximately 9:07 AM, officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to a single vehicle traffic collision in the 75000 block of Kelsey Circle, Palm Desert.  It was determined the driver, Penny Lynn Zavitka, 52 years of La Quinta, was travelling eastbound on Kelsey Circle and collided with two parked vehicles.  Zavitka did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision, but during the investigation it was determined that Zavitka showed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance.  Zavitka was arrested for driving under the influence and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.  Once treated, she was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
