Details:

On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, about 11:10 AM, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Sunnymead Middle School was notified, by school administrators, of a student on student assault on school property.

The ensuing investigation led to the identification of three Sunnymead Middle School students, 12 years-old females. All three suspects entered the victim’s classroom and assaulted both the victim and the assigned teacher.

On Friday, October 4, 2019, the SRO Unit apprehended and booked two suspects into the Riverside County Juvenile Hall on multiple battery charges. The SRO Unit is actively seeking the third suspect in this incident.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is committed to the safety and security of our youth and takes a zero-tolerance approach to criminal acts on school grounds and in our community.
