On Monday, August 12, 2019, at 8:58 p.m., Deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to a report of a major injury traffic collision on Frederick Street north of Alessandro Boulevard in the city of Moreno Valley.
Traffic Deputies from the Moreno Valley Station along with personnel from the Moreno Valley Fire Department and paramedics arrived within minutes and discovered a female pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The use of drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in this collision.
Members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and investigated this collision. Southbound vehicle traffic on Frederick Street between Bay Avenue and Alessandro Boulevard was closed during this investigation.
