Details:

On Sunday, April 28, 2019, about 10:58 p.m., officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to a report of a major injury traffic collision on Alessandro Boulevard and Day Street in the city of Moreno Valley.

Traffic Officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department along with personnel from the Moreno Valley Fire Department and paramedics arrived within minutes and discovered a vehicle struck a female pedestrian. The female pedestrian suffered multiple traumatic injuries and succumbed to those injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the officers.  The driver did not appear to be impaired from the use of drugs or alcohol.

Members of the Moreno Valley Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and investigated this collision.  Eastbound vehicle traffic on Alessandro Boulevard at Day Street were closed during this investigation.
