On Saturday, January 27, 2018, the Moreno Valley Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (MVPD-SET) concluded a lengthy investigation, in cooperation with several outside police agencies, into two serial burglary suspects who are responsible for at least twenty commercial burglaries.  The two suspects targeted and burglarized numerous retail cosmetic stores in Moreno Valley, Orange County, L.A. County, and as far out as Las Vegas, Nevada.  The two suspects are responsible for approximately $500,000 worth of stolen merchandise. 

This investigation was a multi-jurisdictional effort and MVPD – SET coordinated with multiple agencies.  The suspects were arrested without incident and transported to the Robert Presley Detention Center.  Several search warrants were served and approximately $70,000 of stolen property was recovered during the service of the search warrants. 

Niko Hayes Burrell Roberts

Burrell Roberts (27-years-old) and Niko Hayes (28-years-old), were arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for numerous counts of commercial burglary and possession of stolen property. This investigation is still ongoing and there may be additional commercial burglaries these suspects were involved in.
