On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a traffic collision at the intersection of Railroad Canyon Rd and Tassel Way, Lake Elsinore. Upon arrival, deputies learned a motorcyclist traveling southbound on Railroad Canyon collided with a Honda Civic, making a left turn from eastbound Tassel Way.  The motorcyclist was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he received treatment for his injuries.

The Lake Elsinore Traffic Team is conducting a full investigation into the cause of the collision.  It is unknown, at this time, if alcohol/drugs may be a factor in this collision.  Several lanes in both directions of Railroad Canyon Road were closed for approximately 3.5 hours during the investigation.
