Details:

On Sunday, July 21, 2019, deputies from  the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a traffic collision on Bundy Canyon Rd near Oak Creek Dr, Wildomar. Upon arrival, deputies learned a Toyota Echo was traveling eastbound on Bundy Canyon Rd and crossed over the westbound lane.  The Toyota left the roadway, struck a tree (head-on) and came to rest along the westbound shoulder of the roadway.  The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.  Her name is being withheld at this time, pending notification of next of kin. The Lake Elsinore Traffic Team is conducting a full investigation into the cause of the collision.  It is unknown at this time if alcohol/drugs may be a factor in this collision.  Both directions of Bundy Canyon Road were closed for approximately 5 hours, during the investigation.
