Details:

On Sunday, June 30, 2019, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station responded to a residential burglary in the 21000 block of Kimberly Court.  The victim awoke to noises on the first level of the residence.  When the victim went downstairs to investigate, he witnessed a white female adult flee his residence with electronic items.  Upon further inspection of the residence, the victim noticed his 2013 Hyundai Sonata was missing from the garage.

Deputies arrived in the area within minutes and noticed a silver Honda Accord fleeing the residential area.  Deputies took the female occupant, identified as 29-year-old Cassandra Underwood of Menifee, into custody.  Several stolen items from the residential burglary were recovered inside Underwood’s vehicle.  During the ongoing investigation, deputies responded to the 27000 block of Keller Road in the city of Menifee.  Deputies located the stolen 2013 Hyundai Sonata at the location and arrested the occupant, 25-year-old Codi Capellino, a transient from the Lake Elsinore area.

The located stolen property and vehicle were returned to the victim.  Both Underwood and Capellino were booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on numerous felony charges, including; burglary, automotive theft, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy.
