On Thursday, May 30, 2019, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to 31681 Riverside Drive #M, regarding a burglary.  During their investigation, deputies located surveillance footage of the incident.  With the assistance of the Lake Elsinore Problem Oriented Policing Team, deputies identified Ronnie Gomez, 22 years of age, a local transient, as the suspect.  While patrolling the area and searching for the suspect, deputies located the suspect.  Gomez was subsequently arrested and booked at the Cois Bryd Detention Center for commercial burglary.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with further information is asked to contact Deputy Miller at (951) 245-3300.  As a reminder, "Community Policing" involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members.  Business owners and residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity directly to law enforcement by calling Sheriff's Dispatch at (951) 776-1099, or by calling 911 if the matter is an emergency.
