Andres Vallejo

During the morning of Saturday, April 20, 2019, employees at a local horse boarding and training ranch, located in the 21000 block of Olive Avenue in the unincorporated area of Good Hope, discovered one of the horses had been taken from the ranch.  Deputies responded to the ranch and with the assistance of employees on horseback, they located hoof tracks leading from the boarding area.  The horse taken was a Friesian Stallion and once fully trained can be worth approximately $50,000.

The tracks led them to a property approximately two miles away.   An adult male, identified as 22 year-old Andres Vallejo, of Good Hope, was found on the property and took deputies to the horse’s location in one of the stalls.  Vallejo was arrested and booked at Cois Byrd Detention Center for Grand Theft of Livestock. Ranch employees took possession of the horse and returned it to the ranch.
