In April of 2019, detectives with the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station began an investigation into a report of Lewd and Lascivious Acts against a child. The investigation led detectives to other cases within the jurisdiction of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station and the Temecula Sheriff’s Station related to the same suspect. The investigations involved the video taping of young children, alleged kissing, touching and other sexual acts involving young children and the impregnation of a 15-year old.

In June of 2019, after several investigative techniques were utilized, the suspect was identified, and his address was surveilled. On June 14, 2019, the suspect was observed leaving his residence and was taken into custody by detectives.

The suspect, identified as Eric Pineda, 28-years old and a resident of Lake Elsinore was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on charges related to the molestation of children.
