On Friday, March 15, 2019, about 1:25 A.M., officers assigned to Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to the area of Diamond Drive and Interstate 15 in the city of Lake Elsinore, reference a traffic collision.  Officers arrived within minutes and were told a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Diamond Drive, failed to stop for the red light at the southbound offramp intersection, and collided with another vehicle.  The driver fled on foot westbound on Diamond Drive and northbound onto Auto Center Drive.  The occupants of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries.

Mr. Jaso, 34 years of age, and a resident of Lake Elsinore, was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for Driving Under the Influence and Hit in Run.
