On Friday, March 01, 2019, about 01:33 A.M, officers assigned to Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to the Walgreens located at 18296 Collier Ave. in the city of Lake Elsinore, reference a Commercial Burglary in progress.   Officers arrived within minutes and saw a white male adult identified as John Murray Anderson, exiting the Walgreens with over $900.00 of merchandise.  Officers detained the suspect without incident.  Murrieta Police Department K-9 was requested and responded to the location to search for any further suspect(s) inside the Walgreens.  No further suspects were located.  The merchandise was returned to the Walgreens.  The suspect, John Murray Anderson resident of Lake Elsinore was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in the city of Murrieta for Commercial Burglary, and a prohibited weapon. 

This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with further information is asked to contact Officer Schlobohm at (951) 245-3300.   As a reminder, "Community Policing" involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members.  Business owners and residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity directly to law enforcement by calling Sheriff's Dispatch at (951) 776-1099, or by calling 911 if the matter is an emergency.
