On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, officers assigned to Lake Elsinore Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Team located a black Scion in the area of Riverside Drive and Collier which had been reported stolen from Orange County on January 31st. The officers coordinated with additional units and conducted an enforcement stop on Strickland Avenue near Riverside Drive. The driver, Victor Vega, resident of Lake Elsinore, and passenger, Jacqueline Ramirez, resident of Wildomar, were arrested without incident. Vega and Ramirez were both booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for charges related to vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with further information is asked to contact Officer Beaudet or Officer Kramer at (951) 245-3300.
