On Wednesday, November 14, 2018, officers assigned to Lake Elsinore Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted an enforcement stop on a primer gray 1993 Honda Accord near the intersection of Central Avenue and Dexter Avenue, city of Lake Elsinore. During their investigation, they discovered the Honda was reported stolen to the Perris Police Department on November 9, 2018. The driver, Pedro Garcia, a 28-year-old resident of Perris, was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for vandalism. The passenger, Wilhemina Perez, a 39-year-old resident of Good Hope, was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for possessing a controlled substance. Garcia and Perez were both booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
