The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a Toyota pickup was traveling west on Summerhill in a light rain, lost control of the vehicle, struck the north curb, traveled down an embankment and overturned. The driver of the truck was ejected during the collision and sustained fatal injuries. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is encouraged to call the Lake Elsinore Police Department at 951-245-3300. ###
