On Friday, August 2, 2019, at 9:00 AM, members of the Jurupa Valley Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant on the 11000 block of Sunstone Ct., in the city of Jurupa Valley, regarding illegal marijuana cultivation.

Deputies investigated and determined the property had been converted to support illegal indoor marijuana cultivation and there was evidence that marijuana plants were harvested inside the property. There was male suspect home at the time of the search warrant. During the investigation it was revealed that theft of utilities was occurring at the location. Deputies recovered a total amount of 1,700 marijuana plants. The estimated combined full harvest street value was $3,390,000. Also, a combined theft of utilities worth $21,781.74.  Jurupa Valley Code Enforcement was summoned to the location and they conducted their own separate investigation into various building code violations.

The following subject was arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation and possession with intent to sell and theft of utilities. Subsequently, he was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center:  

  1. Zheng, Yu, 32-year old resident of the city of Los Angeles.
