Details:

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, about 2:40 AM, officers from the Eastvale Police Department responded to a report of a traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on 68th Street cross of Tarah Street, in Eastvale. Upon arrival, officers located a male juvenile with major injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by American Medical Response personnel, the pedestrian, a 15-year old Eastvale resident, succumbed to his injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle fled eastbound on 68th Street without stopping and offering assistance to the pedestrian. Witness statements described vehicle as a dark colored  4-door sedan.

The Jurupa Valley Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team is conducting a full investigation to determine the cause of the collision. The victim will remain unidentified at this time pending Coroner notification to the next of kin.
