Written Date: May 4, 2019 Time: 5:10 p.m.
Incident Date: May 4, 2019 Time: 8:33 a.m

Reporting Officer: Sergeant Raemie Wood
File Number(s): EV191240022

On Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 8:33 a.m., officers assigned to the Eastvale Police Department responded to the area of River Road and Baron Drive, in the city of Eastvale, regarding a major-injury traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed a gray Honda Accord traveling northbound on River Road in the number one lane of traffic veered into oncoming traffic and collided into a silver GMC pick-up truck traveling southbound in the number one lane of traffic.

The driver of the Honda Accord and both occupants of the GMC were transported to a local area hospital for injuries sustained as a result of the vehicle collision.

This investigation is ongoing; however, it appears that alcohol impairment does not appear to be a contributing factor in this collision.

The Eastvale and Jurupa Valley Police Department’s Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to conduct this investigation.  This investigation is ongoing, and we are asking anyone with additional information to contact Deputy Shamhart at the Jurupa Valley Station at 951-955-2600.
