Details:

On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, about 1:46 PM, officers from the Jurupa Valley Police Department responded to Rubidoux Boulevard cross of 24th Street, in the city of Jurupa Valley, regarding a report of traffic collision involving a vehicle and Jurupa Unified School District bus.  The school bus did not have any students on board.

The preliminary investigation revealed the school bus was traveling southbound Rubidoux Boulevard approaching 24th Street. The single occupied vehicle was traveling westbound 24th Street across Rubidoux Boulevard. The school bus and vehicle collided in the roadway on Rubidoux Boulevard.

CalFire extracted the female driver from the vehicle. The unidentified female driver was unresponsive and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.  

The Jurupa Valley Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation.  During the investigation, Rubidoux Boulevard was shutdown both directions from 26th street to 20th Street.

At this time it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a contributing factor for this traffic collision.
