In the past, many celebrated New Year’s Eve by shooting illegal fireworks or firearms into the air, causing a public safety concern and quality of life complaints. On New Year’s Eve, the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, along with our partners from Cal-Fire, the city of Eastvale, and Riverside County Animal Control conducted an enforcement operation during the hours of 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Staff provided highly visible, directed enforcement to prevent this type of illegal activity.
