On November 24, 2017, the Eastvale and Jurupa Valley Special Enforcement Teams conducted an enforcement program in various shopping centers to combat theft and maintain order on what can be a chaotic shopping day. The teams utilized bicycle patrols, undercover deputies, marked patrol vehicles and unmarked patrol vehicles. The combination of various types of enforcement approaches led to a successful operation. There were no reported thefts from vehicles or persons during this operation.
This operation led to the service of nineteen misdemeanor arrest warrants, an arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, and an arrest for a subject who was wanted for a recent domestic violence case. The Eastvale Traffic Team also responded to the Eastvale Gateway Shopping Center after numerous complaints were received for illegal parking. Eleven vehicles were issued citations for illegally parking in spaces reserved for disabled persons or red fire zones.
The Jurupa Valley Station Special Enforcement Team will continue these programs through the holiday season. Anyone with concerns related to suspicious or criminal activity is encouraged to contact the Jurupa Valley Special Enforcement Team at 951-955-2600.
