On Friday, January 15, 2010 at 7:00 PM, Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department along with members of the Coachella Valley Gang Task Force arrested Anthony Canada, age 22, of Cathedral City for Robbery.
Canada was identified from store surveillance photos shown on T.V. Investigators set up a surveillance operation and located Canada in the 31000 block of Date Palm Drive where he was arrested.

On Friday, January 08, 2010 at about 9:58 a.m., deputies from the Indio Sheriff’s Station responded to the Apple Market located at 56492 St. Highway 111, in the unincorporated area of the County of Riverside known as Thermal, reference a robbery call.
The investigation revealed two suspects entered the store, one armed with a stun gun which was used on a female clerk, and ordered everyone inside to the ground. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and California Lottery Tickets from the store. The suspects also took cash and personal property from a male customer.
The suspects are described as two males, 5”8” to 6” tall, thin build, wearing black bandanas or ski masks, black zip up hooded sweatshirts, and black pants. The suspects fled the location on foot and remain outstanding.
Suspect Photos View Larger Map The female clerk victim sustained minor scratches and was treated at the scene by paramedics. No one else was injured.
