On Monday, August 12, 2019, about 4:35 AM, Officers from the California Highway Patrol and Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff Station arrived on the Ramona Expressway west of Warren Road, City of San Jacinto regarding a traffic collision investigation.  The preliminary investigation revealed a white, Chevrolet sedan was traveling eastbound on Ramona Expressway.  A green, Hyundai sedan was traveling westbound and crossed left of the double yellow lines consequently colliding head-on with the Chevrolet.  The driver (solo occupant) of the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased on scene.  The driver (solo occupant) of the Hyundai was transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.    

The San Jacinto Station’s Collision Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation.  During the investigation, the Ramona Expressway was closed between Bridge Street and Warren Road till about 10:30 AM.  The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information regarding this collision is encouraged to contact Deputy Cox at the San Jacinto Station, 951-654-2702.
